Luv Shuv.. is not your regular dose of Bollywood, which is pretty evident from the title. It takes you back to films like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Vicky Donor and while it may have done a better job recreating a Punjabi milieu (be it the dialogues, the uninhibited use of profanities, the music or the setting), the film isn't something I'd remember too long. Something felt missing. The film has no big names to piggyback on, but has a script that keeps up an element of unpredictability and some good performances. Rajesh Sharma's (Titu mama) comic timings are perfect. His dialogues jaw-droppingly hilarious! The one film-old Huma Qureshi (the Pears ad girl, seen in Anurag Kashyap's GOW) is brilliant. Kunal Kapoor didn't quite fit the role. Abhay Deol would have been a perfect choice for this one!
With names like Anurag Kashyap backing it, it's no path-breaking film. A one-time watch at best. Have you seen Luv Shuv...? What do you think about the film?
